The Heritage Lottery Fund introduced a requirement to prepare an Audience Development Plan to support major funding bids. These plans analyse existing visitors, identify non-visitors, seek to understand ‘the barriers to access’ and make recommendations/proposals as to how to break down the barriers and widen audiences to heritage sites.
We have prepared a variety of Audience Development Plans for:
Around the Solent (increasing access to the Solent)
Weald Forest Ridge (Landscape Partnership) : approved
Chilterns Society (to increase membership and volunteering)
Eastside Community Heritage (Oral History Project) : approved
Sheffield Manor Lodge (where Mary Queen of Scots was imprisoned for 14 years) : approved
West Wight Landscape Partnership.
Audience Development Plans are currently being prepared for:
Cedars Park, Waltham Cross, Hertfordshire
Integrated Aviation Project, Lincolnshire
Alkincoats Park, Colne, Lancashire
Cardigan Castle.
